Integration Pilot

Due to the current political situation in many countries of the world, people become refugees. The district of Rottal-Inn was also confronted with an increasing number of asylum seekers. These are accommodated in different communities and various shelters. In order to support the new citizens in the communities, helper circles have been formed locally. Without the great support of the committed citizens in our district, the care of the refugees would not be possible.

Volunteering is a supporting pillar in the district of Rottal-Inn. Numerous citizens volunteer for the common good and contribute to the success of local integration.

Since May 2017, the Free State of Bavaria has provided the volunteers with an integration pilot as a full-time contact support person. As a contact person for helpers and initiatives, associations and interested citizens, the integration pilot is the interface between full-time and voluntary work. The aim is to bring about a stronger networking of the volunteers and to win new volunteers.
